i honestly cant believe how fast this is moving now. it feels like people are finally tired of the games and ready to demand some actual accountability in harrisburg.

It's sad that we have to seek legislation that keeps our paid lawmakers from accepting gifts of any kind. There is ALWAYS the appearance of impropriety when you take gifts as an elected legislator. Just say "no" and attend to the job we elected you to do.
Prove yourselves to be ready to represent your constituents based solely on the issues before you. Lobbyists payoffs in any "gift" form no matter the amount or token form should not be part of this process.
It's frustrating when legislators promise reform and nothing happens. Receipts for per diems? Those in the private sector must comply, why not the public?
I would like to know why the proposed reform specifies cash. It appears to me to be building in loopholes for such things as golf outings, trips, hotel stays, material gifts, etc.
As a retired State emnployee witgh 29 years of service, I saw many, many cases of politicians ignoring our suggested amendments in the laws that we were charged to enforce, all to new avail as they iognored our recommendations and passed provisions detrimental to their constituents. Time to eliminate ALL gifts, whether in cash, gifts, or junkets.
We must end corruption in Pennsylvania!
This one's a no brainer, and should have been in place in the early nineteenth century.
