Separating dispensing rights from doctors is not only a burden and hassle to patients but also denies effective treatment and proper followup, and may cause serious health implications, not to mention that it takes away the bread and butter of GPs. Currently most GPs do not charge the actual consultation fees, due to consideration for patients. They try to keep the costs low and appropriate. This, if it goes through, would only benefit pharmacists.

Pharmacists & drs should work a win-win situation. Make the TPA pay more for consultation. Then drs can give away dispensing. It's a known fact all over the world that dispensing medicines by drs causes a conflict of interest.
