most of the patients can not afford to pay extra for the consultation fees and to pay for the medicines at pharmacy....as the result they will go straight to pharmacy and ask for the medicines from pharmacy without prescription sheet from the doctord....The pharmacist will make their own diagnosis just based on patient's complaint....they will act as a 'bomoh'...diagnosis without proper history taking, physical examinations and investigations.....this is what is happening now in Saudi Arabia...I witnessed all this when I was there for few times....The quality of health will become much worse ......
