Please do not separate. This was attempted a few years back but rakyat disagree . Why do Government insist on doing this unless they do not want to pay for medication

Personally, though I am still a govt doctor, I feel that the rakyat is still not ready. At present the doctors are subsidising healthcare costs by reducing or even waiving the consultation charges and charging for medicine at a relatively low cost. With the separation, the doctors may charge consultation fees towards the higher range to try to earn as much as they used to earn. On the patient's side, they will definitely have to bear the extra cost and those staying even in cities like Seremban may have difficulty to get prescribed medicine especially after normal working hours for retail pharmacists.. Wallahualam
