I recognize how dangerous it is to be distracted behind the wheel: YOU ARE 23 TIMES MORE LIKELY TO BE INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT IF YOU ARE DISTRACTED Texting or talking on a cell phone while driving is as dangerous as driving drunk I pledge to drive without distraction — for my safety and the safety of my passengers and fellow drivers. I will not text while driving. If I need to make a call while driving, I will use a hands-free device or pull over to the side of the road to make my call.
