City of Pembroke Pines, FL Needs To Meet Federal Water Standards

Unexceptionable considering the rise in taxes in this area and such a health risk .

We have lived in Pines for 24 years. How long have we been drinking and bathing in TTHM over compliance??

Please bring our water back to compliance and implement a project to remove TTHM and HAA5. This is for the health of all residents and visitors of Pembroke Pines.

The city was issued a violation by DOH for water quality at one location in November, 2016. That is a very serious event that is highly unusual in the city. For two years before, the city was in the process of totally refurbishing the water plant, which was due since it was built in the 1970's. The ion exchanger is the last replacement component in the plant's total refurbishing. The old ion unit was shot amd a new one needed. Thst one unit takes color out of the water. But the filter systems, which are now completed, clean the water to standards. I think before we conclude on this event we need to see two things. First, what do the most recent tests look like now that tge olant ix nearly completed. And second, what is the assessment if the independent experts as to where the city should go in the future. So, yes. Thus is a serious event but if we want to treat it seriously, then our apprach has to be scientifically appropriate do that mistakes that are very cistly and hard to undo are not added to an already complicated situation. This is a time to remain calm but determined to ser results. As DOH said, the city is not under a water emergency. That's good under the circumstances, but not nearly good enough. This is not what we expect in iur city. It has to be understood, addressed and fixed so that confidence in our water supply can be restored. I believe it will be.

City and city commissioners need to stop neglecting about the water issue in the city. This is aserious life threatening concern that must be solved a soon as possible

We need to let Erin Brockovich know about this. Maybe she can do something to help our community. I am willing to do whatever it takes to help make us all safe.

The city must fix this problem or we need to impeach Mayor Ortis.

Suggest to kindly attend to this delicate & urgent issue. It seems no one is taking and seriously addressing this issue.

Fix our water now!!!

Seriously, this issue needs no comment: it should be readily apparent to anyone who uses water.

Please ensure that our water is safe!

It's really unsettling that our politicians are disagreeing with the Health Department on this issue! Clean up our water!

Why, with the taxes we pay, should we have to worry about our water?? Wasn't Flint MI enough of a lesson?

Enough is enough!! Put our taxes to work where it matters!!
