City of Pembroke Pines, FL Needs To Meet Federal Water Standards

Please make the water safe. Trying to go the less expensive route with a filter could cost the city more in the long run with law suits.

We need better water

When I first moved to P. Pines over 20 years ago, I noticed the water was green. When I called the city out they said that was normal and the water was safe. I haven't drank the tap water since. But what about Restaurants​ and the ice I use. This is very concerning. I miss Dade county water.

Please, let's be responsible and humane. Let's fixed it.

Stop telling lies. If you have a question, write City Hall and we will answer them honestly. Send those questions Paul Thompson, Water Quality Assurance Manager at [email protected]. Don't let anyone tell you lies about the water you drink. Get the truth.

That petition statement is a complete and utter lie. The Health Department has indeed said multiple times in writing that the City has done everything it was supposed to do to address this issue. The EPA is not in discussion with the City at all about water quality, nor has the EPA made any findings in Pembroke Pines whatsoever. The City has hired an independent water expert to conduct a comprehensive review of our water management and water quality operations, including the complete refurbishing of the city water plant which will be complete in two weeks. No one disputes -- not EPA or DOH -- staff's claim that once the refurbishing is completed the city should once again have ample supply of clean, compliant, clear, good tasting water in ample supply for decades to come. Nor is it true that the city's water supply is now or has ever been contaminated. It's outrageous that such a false statement should be made. The city voluntarily decided to go from quarterly water quality tests to monthly, putting those results on the city website for all to see, so that residents can see for themselves what the quality of their water supply is. Please stop telling lies and instead tell people the truth about the water they consume. Stop the hysteria tell the truth and do the homework, not one syllable of that "petition" is accurate.

Instead of sending mail to residents notifying of this issue, fix it. Remember what happened in Flynn, MI, officials are going to jail.

Please fix this water problem ASAP, our health is more important than the money you'll be spending!

We are disappointed with the water quality and shocked that the city is not doing more to improve quality drinking water standards to remove harmful chemicals now affecting our water supply.

Our water must meet the recommendations of the EPA

The City officials have stopped working for the interest of the citizens.

This should have been corrected the right way before it got to this point!

Pls fix the problem.

Let's not become another Flint MI.

While the EPA tends to give you the most difficult and expensive scenario, the chemicals in the water should be curtailed, plus the cause of contamination should be found. Which industries are causing it? They should pay for the needed EPA recommendations

Fire the person in charge of the water. The person buying the excessive chemicals. Get the states attorney to check their bank accounts. Have the chemical co. Delay each shipment until the water is balanced.

I'm very concerned for everyone in this great city. We should all have clean safe water. Please do something.
