We are opposed to the re-location of our child from Leesville Elementary School to Pleasant Grove. We currently live only a couple of miles away, and the disruption and inconvenience of re-locating our child to another school will create significant negative issues. We are also concerned about negative impact this would have on our home value as well.

I understand why rezoning of schools is done, but I do not understand why students within walking distance of a neighborhood school would be bussed to another school. Bussing students to another school further away increases transportation costs and the students would not be as prepared for their school work. The school board knows all this information, but their choices are usually based on blending student numbers to gain tax dollars and not was is in the students best interest. This is difficult to do, but I ask you to find a balance with this that would benefit the students in their neighbor schools.

As the parent of two young girls, we moved to this area specifically because of the excellent reputation of the Leesville school system. I definitely do not support the idea of rezoning!! This will will have a huge impact on the growth and attractiveness of our community for future home buyers!!

This is crazy. Leesville is right down the street. Why send the children 20 minutes plus to Cary in the middle of rush hour traffic because Wake County has a school to fill. This puts our kids in more harm. More accidents happen in the middle of rush hour and now you want to put a bus load of kids on that street. When within 10 to 15 mins most of these kids could be at Leesville safe and not worn out from the bus ride. Think of the safety of the kids and parents and the gas money the tax payers will save not busing those kids to Cary every morning from North Raleigh. There are other kids that are closer to this school that make better sense to send to this new school. thank you

I am in Cornerstone Park, but my neighborhood is impacted by this as well and I agree with all concerns in the petition.

As a recent home owner in wyngate subdivision only owning my home for roughly 1 year- a large portion of the decision was the proximity to the leesville schools. I chose this home for the school district and I do not want my future children bussed to inconvenient locations.

To ease over crowding in our local LES community, your recommendation is to redistrict and bus our children to a school that we are not a part of the community but continue to bus those students from SE Raleigh, therefore causing over crowding in our local community, this makes no sense.

This is an insult to the Leesville community and to all of the parents who participate and volunteer to MAKE this a great campus (all 3 schools), great neighborhood, and a great community. I cannot see the logic in sending Leesville children to a school that is closer to Brier Creek and Morrisville neighborhoods.

Compare to wasting a whole lot of time on commuting, a class with some more students is a lot more bearable.
