THEY JUST REMOVED THE AUDIO MONITORING HARDWARE FROM THE AMENITIES!! WE KEPT OUR PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS SAFE AND I AM BEYOND THRILLED!! STAY VIGILANT JUST IN CASE BUT TODAY WE CELEBRATE THIS MASSIVE WIN!!
We the undersigned residents of Pelican Landing think that the new audio additions to the security cameras have no place in areas of amenities where people gather, socialize, and have previously enjoyed our right to have conversations without being monitored 24 hours a day. The two areas of most concern are the social tables at the patios of the Tennis Center and Community Center, and the rooms that compose our Fitness Center.
We appreciate the need for security, but think that audio monitoring of conversations is unnecessary, especially while the amenities are active and open with residents and guests who may easily miss the small signs posted above eye level.
I feel uncomfortable just thinking about it. remove the mics now!

Ridiculous. We pay enough in fees without needing to be bugged like were in a prison.

This is a total invasion of privacy. I go to the gym to workout not to have Big Brother listening to my private chats with friends.

Security is one thing but recording our regular conversations is way over the line. take them out.
