We the undersigned residents of Pelican Landing think that the new audio additions to the security cameras have no place in areas of amenities where people gather,socialize, and have previously enjoyed our right to have conversations without being monitored 24 hours a day. The two areas of most concern are the social tables at the patios of the Tennis Center and Community Center, and the rooms that compose our Fitness Center. We appreciate the need for security, but think that audio monitoring of conversations is unnecessary, especially while the amenities are active and open with residents and guests who may easily miss the small signs posted above eye level.
