For the last 11 years I have had to cross where Musters Road joins George Road and you have to look behind you, straight ahead, left and right until all is clear. People drive more than 30mph down Musters road and it’s extremely dangerous to cross. On wet days the traffic seems to double. Also there are a number of parked cars from the doctors surgery and chemist so it’s very hard to see around them. People with pushchairs and children have to basically be on the road to be able to cross the full way. There needs to be something on Musters Road to show traffic that there are children/ parents crossing near a school and to slow down or stop.

Long overdue. I think having a safe, clearly marked crossing point is an excellent idea. ( I am a parent of school-age children and having seen a.couple of nail biting episodes / near-misses (visibility often bad because of [correctly] parked cars). )

We have witnessed at least one frightening near miss at this junction and frequently have to negotiate around large delivery vans and taxis parked on the double yellow lines in front of the pharmacy entrance. It is not safe to have to venture into the road to try and cross with small children.

This is long overdue, this is such a dangerous crossing so close to the infants school

I am very pleased to support this petition. The traffic often goes too fast, and the visibility is poor.

This seems like a good use of our taxes and a genuine safety need.

I have to cross this road twice a day with a 5year old, three year old and a baby. It’s so dangerous as I have to walk out into the road to look past the park cars to see if traffic is coming and am
Petrified my children will run out after me and e hit by a car. Lots of the traffic doesn’t abide by the 20mph advised limit

This is very much needed, a primary school, three nurseries, two medical centres and two churches on this road

This is urgently needed given the numbers of children and elderly crossing at this point

Difficult to believe that there is not already a pedestrian crossing in place on such a busy road used by so many parents and children

Vans parked on the double yellow lines at the junction and delivering to the pharmacy is unsafe.

This is an absolute necessity, the visibility of the road is often so poor due to parking that we have to walk into the road to be able to see if it is clear. This is not safe.

Please take us seriously. There was a lolly pop person previously assigned and they are not anymore, due to money constraints. That is a clear proof the need is there. You can't put a value in a child's life. Safe school crossing is a basic right for our children and in fact should have already been put in place since the establishment of the school.
