The council finally approved the renaming of the bridge to Coltons Crossing. This has been a long and heavy road but we succeeded in securing this tribute for him. I am grateful to everyone who helped carry this weight until the final vote.
On June 16th Fathers day I lost my nephew to an accident. Colton Raine Penhorwood was young, full of life and and very out going young man. He was just starting his life when an accident brought it to a halt. He was on Cambridges pedestrian bridge in Galt when he slipped and fell. We would like to honor Colton by having this bridge renamed after a beautiful young man. Please please sign this petition and I will do my best to bring this to councel to have it renamed. Thank you
The momentum behind this request is heavy and overwhelming. It is clear that so many of you see the importance of honoring Colton here. I am exhausted by the process but your steady support gives me the grit to keep pushing this forward with the council.

The name change is a great idea in memory of a life that ended to soon and his family can go there and know he is never going to be forgotten

RIP Colt. Gone way to early. This would be a great memorial to have this bridge named after such a wonderful caring soul ❤️

Being friends with Brooklyn as a kid, Colton was always hanging with us and making us laugh. This bridge should be named after such an amazing person who loved everybody around him even when he didn’t know them all that well.

I’m really hoping as a community that we can all come together for this amazing cause. I’ve personally known Colton ever since we were little kids and I as well as many other miss him dearly. We would love something near the location to remember him by and be able to visit.
