Across river access is required for many due to work commitments, surely work on the bridge times could co-inside with normal working hours, thus restricting full closure to a minimum time when required. On the other hand perhaps 24hr working on the repairs would reduce the closure time ?

This is absolutely outrageous. How are we supposed to get to work. They should let cars over before 8.30 in morning for an hour and 5.00 in the afternoon for an hour. This shouldn't be a problem as there will be not a work person in sight.

I use Cawood bridge 4 times a week so using the longer routes would severely cut into my day. I could get my bike over and use that

It is vital for my business and my employees that we have pedestrian access to Cawood bridge, it's closure will affect my business greatly and steps need to be take to mitigate the effects.

ridiculous amount of time to subject residents to extensive time and monetary expense. to not even be able to walk or ride across the bridge takes away our only option to try and find alternatives to long road detours. please think again

I have to get from Cawood to the District Hospital in York for regular appointments and sometimes I have to have treatments which means I'm at the hospital daily sometimes for 1 day others for 5 days in a row, going down the A19 during commuter times morning and evening makes my journeys into hourly ones both ways, I also have rave concern about emergency services getting into the village, particularly ambulances and the diversions they would have to contend with getting patients to the hospital, they may get an ambulance here quickly from Selby but getting that patient to York in good time worries me especially if it's early morning or early evening and they come up against the A19 traffic. Please rethink this issue, it is not needed, we are currently enjoying a bus service that WORKS, this work is NOT NEEDED

i live in cawood and work in kelfield so a 20week closure would cause a massive difference to my commuting times. I would cause a extra 2hours travelling per day

As a Cawood resident and commuter to York every day, I certainly think that 20 weeks is far too long for everyone either on foot or commuting. This must be given a lot more consideration.

The bridge does need to be done but the residents of Cawood need to get in and out also .
