My school counts it as pe credit ,all.the hard work put into the shows and late night practices and physical activity is equivalent to more than just a one or two semester or class that runs laps and plays games

Band is not a sport. It's a family. They will push you to get to be the best. Its so much more than a sport.

Marching band is definitely a sport! Believe me, I’ve sweated enough at band camp and after school practices to know.

As a Band kid, I feel that this is really inportant to me, and this would mean alot of this becomes a pe credit.

This used to be allowed at my school but athletics coaches didn’t think it was a competitive sport so they cut it. So I’m all for it.

At my old school in Texas, marching band was considered a PE credit and I think it should be at all schools.
