I got dress coded in a turtle neck just because the shoulders were cut out... what logic is that?

This has always been something that has agrivated me. Rules like these teach girls that it's our fault when a boy does an inappropriate thing because of how we're dressed. But in reality it's his fault for lack of self control.

I’m dressed appropriately. Sleeveless tops are usually the three finger rule and that covers the top of your shoulder. I’ve been told capped sleeves is the rule, but it’s not in the dress code description.

We can wear strapless dresses at our schools homecoming, but we can’t wear a shirt that shows a part of our shoulders? And the fact that guys can wear whatever shirt that shows their shoulders and sometimes even the chest. Talk about being fair here.

Why do girls have to cover up? It's sexist how we have to pay the price because "boys will be boys" Why don't the boys get dress coded for wearing their muscle tees and tank tops? Why do girls have to conform to the rules because boys "can't control themselves" newsflash, everyone has shoulders so if they're a distraction to people that's the person problem, not the girls.
Free the shoulders. ✌
