Pcep dress code

Girls now feel objectified because PCEP has created these outrageous, stupid rules. Like it shouldnt be exciting to see a girls shoulder. Its natural. And if us students need to abide by this dumb code, so do teachers. Because theyre not all setting great examples and following the code themselves

First off shoulders are not sexual in anyways. Shorts I could understand. But the fact that we can't show out shoulders because they are too "distracting" is an excuse for the district to blame hormonal boys on us. Personally, I've never heard of one teenage boy not pay attention in class because a young ladies shoulders are showing, and honestly I don't think anyone has. Also, when we are dress coded for a fraction of our shoulders showing, it disturbs OUR learning education. I have been sent down to the office once for an inch and a 1/2 (I measured it) of my shoulder showing because of the design of the shirt. And I was pulled away from getting to my class on time, late, and was behind in my math class. I'm sorry the district has something against women wanting to further their learning careers, but it is unacceptable that it is being taking out on us. If u have any questions I would love to part take in this local sexism debate.

This dress code is stupid

I believe that boys should know how to respectful instead of girls have to cover up their shoulders because of them quote "not help themselves" I don't think that dress code is that big of a deal to even be a dress code. Girls should be comfortable on what they wear.

Not only is it stupid but it’s sexist!!! I got dress coded today for wearing a 5inch sleeve tank top that covered my shoulders and mrs. Lewis took my shirt and gave me a new one and as I walked out of the office I saw a guy with the same length (sleeve wise) tank top as me and he just went on his way. Like I can show clevage any day of the week but god forbid a shoulder pops out. The dress code needs to be amended.

This has already been proven to be a sexist policy made many years ago, back when women are told that there education does not matter the same as a man's. Girls are generally taught to restrict themselves and take responsibility of what they do,how they act,and what they say at such a young age and this policy reflects this ideology that girls are to be held responsible if others can't "help themselves". This is not "dresscode" . This is "rape culture."

Women shouldn't have to change what they where because a male can't handle himself. Get some self control boys, because it isn't our fault you get distracted so easily.
