The feedback regarding this proposal has been thoughtful and consistent. I am currently organizing the documentation to ensure our request reaches the production executives at ITV with the professionalism it deserves.

The level of enthusiasm for a potential series centered on Pc Penhale has surpassed my initial expectations. This momentum confirms that there is a genuine appetite for his character to lead his own program.

John is a very funny, talented man. His timing, delivery and presence are wonderful. With a female PC to balance him as possibly promoted Sergeant Penhale, this premise could work well. If of course John was willing to do it.
I worked in TVland for twenty years...I know a brilliant actor & character when I see one... and I've been saying PC Penhale should have his own series since day one of his characters appearance ! Good luck with pursuing this !
I think a series based on pc Penhale would surely be a hit the writers of doc Martin invented the character so I'm sure they would know how to do it right, it doesn't have to be in port Isaac it could be on the south coast in places like Worthing and Shoreham and a bit of Southwick, only because I live there and I can watch some of it
It was my suggestion in the first place as I think the doc Martin fans would love pc penhale in his own way. He’s captured the audience with his slap happy humour he his so innocent and yet so loveable.
We watched Doc Martin in the family for so many times! We love all characters, but we would love for this show to continue over and over again!! If Penhale could have his own show, it would be fantastic!! The character is very funny, but so real and John Marquez makes a better Penhale than anyone else could. We would love to see him in his own show/continuation of Doc Martin!

He definately should have his own series when doc martin finishes we wont see him. I will be gutted
