Pay them what is owed. It is not fair on them or the students.

UoM is a bloody disgrace. I was so proud when I received my acceptance letter, but the actions taking by management over the past two years have left me with a sick feeling in my stomach.

I have taken out a £10,000 loan to pay for my fees and have made sacrifices to be here. I expect my lecturers to be paid and to receive their pensions and I expect to have my money's worth and to attend my scheduled classes.

As a third year student, this potential loss of study time is an absolute joke so close to the final hurdle of exams, assignments and dissertation work.

First academic staff redundancies, now this. The StaffNet documents talk about how the board is setting rigorous financial targets - but how can any of this be in the best interest of the institution?

Pay the staff what they deserve! This is totally unacceptable and considering I'm paying £14 500 every single year as an international student, the least I should be able to expect is for the lecturers to be paid and for me not needing to worry if I'll miss 3/4 weeks of contact hours in my final year. Uni is stressful enough and without the lecturers being so amazing, the uni would never have the position in the rankings that it has today!

I’m in my final year I can not afford to loose 3/4 weeks of teaching support and guidance through my dissertation this is not fair! I support taking a stand against redundancies/ pensions but the student should be the first priority.

Sort it out- current 3rd year- losing 3 entire weeks of tuition.
