Students are at university by choice to give them a better future. To miss three weeks is a high percentage of their studying to lose. It's disgraceful. They're owed the full learning time.

University students are, at the most basic level, consumers. It is not acceptable when staff strike and we are deprived of the service that we have paid for. I completely agree with my tutors’ decision to strike; the problem is that they have been forced to do so by managerial staff who are pocketing extortionate figures. You have no right to keep the money we have paid for lectures and seminars that are not provided, especially considering the fact that the staff who are striking are doing so without pay.

I support the strike, but not at or expense. We have already suffered a strike in semester 1 and to now face this in semester 2 of my final year is simply unacceptable.
