My husband is an officer & I see what it does mentally, physically, spirituality & emotionally to an individual. No amount of money could ever make that okay, but if they are going to fight for our safety, day in & day out - the least that could be done is to compensate them in such a manner that they do not have to worry about dying on the clock and living pay check to pay check off the clock. #godblessamerica #bluelivesmatter

My brother-in-law and sister both used to work for RPD. They don't make enough for what they have to do, each time they go out and protect, assist, and care for the community from ignorant low life crazy people

Yes, we should absolutely be taking care of all of our first responders!!! Those that risk their lives to save ours!!! I have the utmost respect for our police officers and what they deal with every day. It's a shame that this is even an issue

We can't expect to have experienced police officers in Madison County unless they are being paid a fair salary. Why stay here if they can go one county over and make better money?
