3% Pay Increase for Classified Staff in Durham County

I am a school bus driver....we deserve it!!!

Invest in our children's education.

The people who help us raise and care for our children should be well cared for too.

Invest my tax dollars in education

Our cafeteria workers and bus drivers are as much a part of my child's education experience as the teachers. They deserve to be properly compensated.

I am a DPS parent with two students that rely on the Bus Drivers to get them home safely.

As a parent who's had four of our children go thru the entire DPS school system from Kindergarden to graduation, I am in full support!

I want my tax dollars spent here.

Care for students means care for the students' caretakers!

I am so grateful to those NC teachers who continue to teach in spite of all of the cutbacks. They deserve at least a 3% raise for doing the critical work of educating North Carolina's children.

A 3% pay raise isn't enough. But it's at step in the right direction for our teachers and our students.

Classified Staff are those who work behind the scenes and often go unappreciated. Yet, they are the ones who are responsible for helping our schools operate successfully every single day. We are a community and they are an integral part. They deserve AT LEAST a 3% pay raise. Just like certified staff, classified staff are essential to DPS's vision of graduating every single student from high school.

What have we come to in Durham that we need a petition in hopes of getting a raise for our school bus drivers and cafeteria workers!

Teachers, and school workers, create out future, for better or worse. Please support them with better wages.

It is beyond asinine to continue dismantling public education. Durham County has the opportunity to take a stand FOR education. This is a start.
