No more houses on greenfield areas. Regenerate the existing grotty spots in Medway first!!!! No spaces in local schools for any more kids & other facilities inadequate for existing residents!!

Ancient woodland is precious don't destroy the little piece we have left. Lordswood is so congested and overpopulated already, the infrastructure wouldn't be able to cope it's already struggling, gleaming wood drive also has a really fast bend where people have already lost lives.

This is a lovely wood full of wildlife. Used by families, dog walkers and cyclists. Plenty of other brownfield sites for development. Lordswood is totally congested as it is without more houses.

Lordswood is already congested enough, not only will this proposal destroy the area for human residents but also the animal population. The nicest thing about Lordswood is that it is a WOOD - let's keep it that way!

I walk this area on a regular basis and the impact on the wildlife will be devastating.
Lords Wood is already overcrowded with housing and industry so it's time Maidstone council need to take note.

I will be writing to the council to oppose this plan. This is a lovely area of woodland enjoyed by walkers, dog walkers and joggers etc from all over the Lords Wood area for many years, not just the area that Maidstone Council deemed worthy of notification. As a resident of Clandon Road, we have received no notice at all of this, and I have met many fellow dog walkers that who use the Kirkdale/ Mayford entrances that had no idea this was happening on their doorstep. Lords Wood is already very built up and building on the last remaining piece of woodland is unthinkable. I'm guessing that Maidstone Council won't care as this little area of their constituency is so far from the centre of Maidstone. It's about time it came under Medway control.
It's bad enough that some areas have been turned into horse fields (don't get me wrong, I love horses and used to work at a stables as a teenager), but the beautiful meadow land out the back is now fenced off for the odd horse, whereas it used to be a haven for insects and birds. And the area between the new proposed areas of development (plots) is now a muddy mess. However, even that is preferable to what it will become. And if this gets approved, where will it end. Will they start building out the back by Sindals Lane??

I strongly oppose this application. I walk in this woodland daily and live 100 metres away from the proposed Biomass Unit. My family enjoy many walks in this woodland and my children have learned so much about nature. Please do not take away one of the last remaining pieces of woodland in the area. I agree with all the comments made about lack of school/doctors places, increased congestion on the roads/danger on what is already a busy and dangerous road.

I do not understand how developers nor the council think that lordswood can cope with any more houses.
The schools, doctors and amenities are already stretched to capacity and not to mention the road structure leading to the M2 is a joke without any more traffic being added to it.
The idea of Lordswood being called a wood is for us to enjoy what woodland is left not putting another 100 unnecessary houses on it.

As this is not a brown field site I don't understand why building such as this would be allowed to take place. There is not the infrastructure to support this amount of new housing and I don't see any allowance for this in the plans. We need to keep this small amount of Woodland remaining in Lordswood.

Our schools have waiting list already so this development is crazy, children need school places if there is no space in our already full schools parents will have to travel further afield to get their children to school each day. The doctors is already over subscribed and its impossible to get an appointment. We love our green space and the wildlife that lives their. This development will destroy the habitats of many animals. The increase to traffic flow will be a nightmare as Gleamimgwood Drive and Clandon Road is already dangerous as motorists speed up and down the road with no concern for the public. I have lived here for 32 years and love my community and surroundings the way it is. Leave our ancient woodland alone.

This development is lunacy, we are overcrowded as it is, not to mention there would be a bigger intake at the local schools. We will loose our woodland and the wild life would disappear. The increase of traffic would be a complete nightmare, the road is quite dangerous now without more from a new housing development. There will be noise and air pollution from the biomass unit. Then we would have to endure the noise, mess and disruption from the works vehicles while this building was taking place. I have lived here for 32 years and Gleaming Wood Drive has become a very dangerous road because of the bends and cars not slowing down. I love our woods leave them alone.

You have to keep some woodland or wild animals, flowers etc will disappear forever. Kent is the garden of England, not a concrete jungle, Kidbrooke already has that crown.
