i dont think she should be fired, but i think she owes an apology for disrespecting the symbol that allows her to be free and have the freedom of choosing a job that you r suppose to be a leader and uphold a higher standard because u are a school principal!

I know what a veteran is. They are honorable men with respect and dignity, mostly. And I am exercising my first amendment.

She doesn't have to do this herself, it's about delegating the task. When I was going to school a people from each class would take turns tending to the flag. She doesn't deserve to be principle, she should be fired for saying something so stupid.

Disgraceful. What if our veterans said they didn't have time to go and defend that flag. Wow!!

I don't think the woman needs to be fired. If so you may as well fire the whole faculty and student body! Not one of them did a damn thing about the flag. Instead I would have them all attend a class on flag etiquette To learn how to properly raise, lower and care for e flag.

I personally know the principal, and I know she didn't mean what she said when she said it. She has a lot of respect for a lot of people, and there is not one bone in my body that believes she ment it in that mannor.

In my opinion she was very disrespectful to our veterans not to mention she is showing our children that it is ok to be disrecptful.

as a veteran I am completely offended by this. Give her job to someone that does have time and will lead by example.

Did you just dis' that military man? Like you're better than him? Because you aren't, and neither is he to you. This is America dude. We are all equals. Rich or poor, famous or not. You actually said you were ashamed of a soldier. She is a really good principal and has done a lot for the school. Awareness is always welcome. Harsh action isn't. She doesn't deserve this. I'm sure if you were as hard working and productive as her you might get distracted too. Not saying you aren't. But there are extremist all over our nation that burn our flag and desecrate it. Why aren't you complaining about that, the ones who intentionally do it. Don't say you're ashamed of a soldier ever again. It's not right. You go wear the armor and carry the weight and come back and see if someone says that to you. How would you feel?

Thanks David, you did raise some awareness. Now, you are crawfishing on us. I'm ashamed of you soldier! Let's talk about awareness and action. What is the point of awareness without action? So, if you didn't want action, what's your point? Well, you are welcome to bow out if you like, but please don't try to put the cat back in the bag. You made us aware and now we are aware!
