My Dad served in World War 1 and my Mother was a 'Gallagher' from Mayo. How proud we could be to have a ship named after 'Patrick Gallagher'

It is time this country honored the true heroes that allow us all the freedoms we have. Corporal Gallagher gave the ultimate sacrifice for his fellow marines, the Marine Corp and his adopted country. His herorism is a shinning example for all American military men and women and is in the highest tradition of the US Marine Corp. I highly endorse this petition. Semper Fi!

We are very proud of Cpl. Patrick Gallagher and the service to his country. We are Marine parents who lost our son Lt. Col. Michael L. Murphy, USMC in Dec. 2000 while test piloting the MV22 Osprey helicopter. Semper Fi
