There is a huge history of Irish men serving with the American armed forces with distinction.
It would be a brilliant gesture of recognition to name a DDG class ship in memory of this Irish American hero.

I am very proud to be associate with the petition. As a Micronesian assigned to the 1st Battalion 9th Marines, urge the US Navy to consider supporting this initiative as more Micronesian are serving in the arm forces of the US.
