I know there are many, many war heroes. It would be impossible to honor them all, but my vote for one, would be for Patrick "Bob' Gallagher.

My father and father in law were career navy. Many of the young men that I went to school with, never returned from the war. I am the mother of a career Army soldier.
Patrick a selfless service to this country along with other men who gave their lives for an "adopted" country, needs to be honored. GOD Bless them for their courage and bravery.

The United States Navy would honor all Irish who have served this country by naming a DDG class ship after Corporal Patrick "Bob" Gallagher, USMC who was awarded the Navy Cross for his heroic actions.
