Patrice Malatestinic has served the Skidmore Community for nearly 20 years as the French horn teacher and brass chamber coach. She has touched the lives of French horn students, and other brass and wind students. The music department has informed Patrice that, due to a faculty decision, her contract, a year-to-year contract with the music department for her job as the French horn teacher, and chamber music coach, will not be renewed.  All that the department cares to say is that the department has chosen to move in a direction that does not include Patrice.
We do not agree with this decision and feel that it needs to be re-evaluated.
