The Auditor-General's report states that Ontarian's paid $37-billion above market for electricity over eight years.

Based on this report, it is time for Ontario residents to take matters into their own hands. With $37 Billion overspent between 2006 and 2014, and another projected $133 Billion in the next 17 years, the time has come for consumers to seriously think about having full control over their energy usage. One of the most effective ways of doing this is to implement energy saving solutions in their homes and businesses thereby resulting in lowered energy consumption.

This is exactly what the Path To Zero from BAS will empower the residents of Ontario to do. We have been taking consumers towards energy sustainability all across the Netherlands, and are now ready to do the same for homes and businesses in Canada.

The Path To Zero is the world’s first fully integrated sustainable energy platform that enables consumers to save time and money, and have full control over their energy usage as they work through a customized, guaranteed, energy efficiency plan and fulfill their sustainability aspirations.

Consumers who are on the Path To Zero will take the following 4 steps;

1. Execute a fully integrated and automated energy scan of their home and business.

2. Select a customized energy savings report, based on this energy scan, which showcases the total energy savings and associated costs of implementing the relevant energy saving solutions in their homes and businesses.

3. Schedule all of the installations / retrofits and select the payment / financing option. BAS provides for the financing and the implementation of all of these energy saving solutions.

4. Review their progress and lowered energy consumption via real time monitoring so that consumers can see how independent and in control they have become.

To make the Path To Zero available for all Ontario residents, it is essential to get the attention of the Utilities, Energy Retailers, and IESO. The way to do this is to sign this petition, and take the lead in the transition to a better future!

I was looking over the latest numbers from that audit again and honestly it just keeps making me more frustrated because thirty seven billion is such a massive amount of money to just waste like that. People have been messaging me about their own crazy energy bills lately and I am trying to reply to everyone but there are so many of you which is great because it just proves that we are all feeling the same squeeze and deserve better options for our homes.

I honestly had not expected this to take off so quickly but looking at the momentum is just wild. It feels like people are finally fed up with these massive overcharges because reading through all your comments today really made me realize how widespread this frustration actually is. This is definitely turning into something much bigger than I ever imagined back when I first drafted the initial idea.

Our co-operative actually had all the units check for air leaks, replaced some windows and all the patio doors, changed all the lightbulbs to LED, and spray insulated all the attics. Unfortunately, the did not do an energy scan, which I think is necessary.

Hydro rates are killing my small business. Anything that helps us get off the grid or cut costs is welcome here.

Streamline the process and stop punishing the many while rewarding the government insiders.

With rising costs of living and detrimental effects of pollution on our global ecosystem, we need alternative solutions that we can implement on an individual basis that will create win-win opportunities for saving money and our environment.
