this isn't justice. it's called fraud and needs to be stopped. if the child isn't the man's child he should not have to pay child support its unjust to all good men

It would be great if our politicians would stop being cowards and actually do something for men and in my case a father's rights! It's hard to be there for your kids when the judge grants you every other weekend(four days a month) and the "mother" won't give you more!

if its not his child then he shouldn't be obligated to pay for him/her. unless he is willing to. why would there be a paternity test taken if they aren't going to do something about it if its not his kid?

I have fought with dhs and the courts for over 20 yrs still no proof.but pd child support the whole time...

No man should have to pay support for another man's child, unless he legally adopted the child. As for the mother in this story. She should be jailed for fraud.

I think if it's not their child, the biological father should have to pay. It's happened to a dear friend of ours and it's totally WRONG!! If a mother wants to lie to her daughter, that's wrong on the mother's part. But don't make a man pay that doesn't have too.

My husband has been paying child support on a child that isn't his for 8 yrs. He was working out of town and didn't know about a paternity hearing. Because he didn't show up they automatically said he was the father. There has never been a test done. He was young and didn't have the money for a attorney. By the time he was able to have the finances to do something the 2 years had passed. Keep in mind he knew nothing about the pregnancy/child until way after the child was born. They had been broken up months before the child was even conceived!

There should not be a time limit, especially if the "current" dad has no idea the child is not his.

I hope that this ridiculous law gets changed. And then when the real dad is found they have to pay back Thomas what he paid to support their child.

It shouldn't be a man's responsibility to pay for a childs well-being after a divorce if the child is a result of infidelity in any case other than the man adopting the child prior to the divorce.
