Pat Mears has health issues that require him to park nearer his stall, surely the management of the Open Market can come to some sort of arrangement with him to have a parking space nearer to his stall, rather than put him out of a job he has loved doing all of his working life.

Disgusting way to treat somebody, why didn't they allocate some sort of parking area when the council did their version of a remake of the open market x

Hello Pat. He is such a lovely fella, true not in public interest to remove a person and his spirit from the open market! People wake up!!! Start using your <3 for thinking a world will be a better place. Open your mind for Pat's sake!

He is a mainstay of the community and an old gent too - kicking off for the market for this is ridiculous and just looks like corporate viciousness at its worst.

A total over reaction by Brighton Council. By all means fine him for the parking violation, but to take away a mans livelihood, business and security is completely ridiculous. The local community will miss him and his business greatly.

We need to fight for small family traders and market produce over the big supermarkets. Understand that loading bays are for all but some discussion and consideration in place of faceless beaurocracy would have been more a more acceptable solution here surely
This is disgusting
