The VA is excellent healthcare and costs far less (in this case the taxpayers pay less) than comparable private plans...privatizing the VA would just CREATE a middle entity to skim off more taxpayer dollars.

I am a veteran and get my health care at the VA, and I am largely pleased with my care. The biggest problem is lack of funding and subsequent understaffing. FIX IT!

The USA needs to SACRIFICE for our vets and their families--after all they sacrificed for good of the nation! Privatization wherever it has ocurred has failed the nation and increased the hardsahip of those affected by it.
