Pass or Fail option (ZU)

The Pass/Fail grading structure would definitely relieve undue stress. An article states that putting the semester in “lower stakes” would not deprive students from achieving success in their classes, however rather permit some “leeway” for student’s who find themselves in difficult academic situations” (Inside Higher Ed, 2020). Furthermore, I suggest to have the ability to make one or two courses Pass/ Fail this semester of 2021 and the coming semesters, this will not only relive some of the students burden, but will also motivate us as students to study knowing that one of our courses that some of us are struggling in will not affect our grade and that we don’t need to be anxious about the outcome. To conclude, our mental health is our top priority. Since, this whole pandemic started we had no clue about the consequences we will be facing in the coming semesters. I am not only speaking for myself but also for our hard working Undergraduate students our graduates to be. Am asking for our university to help us over 2000 of our students signed this petition. This petition is our proof and we need your help.

Wee need the pass/fail thing because online courses will not let us have the ability to understand everything like going to the campus, we are trying our best and we see the pass/fail is so important to us.

We need the pass and fail system back our grades are being effected by the online learning and we’re still in a pandemic.

we seriously need the pass/no pass option again because literally we are going through alot and our mental health is getting bad, it is so hard to focus in class while it is online, we surfer from depression, anxiety and alot of othere things. We really need it back our grades are not that good however, we try our best.

We want pass and fail , honestly we can’t understand every course online and you expect us to have a high grades some courses are difficult and complicated and with online learning it will be worst , we need it !!!!!
