The Canadian Embassy for Afghans in Islamabad has an Interpreter who speaks some Pashto. As she is not a native Pashto speaker, she does not understand and does not know how to interpret certain cases. In fact, she interpreted so many family sponsorship cases wrong. We Pashtuns demand a person who can UNDERSTAND and SPEAK ALL THE DILECTS OF PASHTO PERFECTLY. He or she should be assessed in Ottawa by the Canadian Pashto experts who also assess interpreters for Afghanistan. The Interpreter should have English level of 90% in TOEFL and 4+ in Pashto test. We would be very glad if the Canadian Government does that because this would ensure that the Sponsorship or Refugee cases of Pashtuns are interpreted in more accurate Pashto and are given equal importance as other ethnic cases are given.
