Hi Everyone,
I don't think I managed to get my point across very well in a previous comment, so I offer a more refined reply.
I understand the student's point of view in the current situation and I am completely supportive of it. You do make great points most of which are valid, and I do believe that a discussion must take place, as long as it's in good faith and fair to all sides involved. I would like to offer a view from the other side of the isle, speaking personally.
I understand that the quality of some classes is still improving, however holding the classes online is a greater challenge than most of the students would believe. I am personally working day and night to provide a video for my labs, answer questions in my free time, sit with you in the lab for 2 hours and manage the class, not to mention that grading your submissions is still a massive time sink.
In my previous comment I wanted to bring attention to this fact that some of the students might have overlooked when signing and commenting.

I think it is fair enough that a partial university fees should be refunded as students and guardians don’t just pay fees for the courses but also for the importance of physical evidence that is currently not available at the moment with the current situation. Schools have taken the initiative of transferring the school fees to the next academic year and refund the money to graduating students, hence the university should also do the same.
It is very reasonable and sensible to cut the tuition fees for this semester since it is know that online learning is way cheaper than offline learning since no facilities are being used or anything. Please refund us or save half of this semester tuition fees for next semester.
