Shelby Park has done enough to attract people to my neighborhood. I see a distinct difference in their concern for residents privacy from the beginning construction of the Greenline.People now look in my back door as they enjoy the new addition.Am I the only one that remembers the effort taken to preserve privacy for residents on the original portion?I say no to the rezoning !

Please Develop elsewhere. This project will be the beginning of the end of Shelby Farms ... MEMPHIS ' LAST PLACE OF BEAUTY. I wish politicians would do the right thing for once. It's all about the money. Shame on Memphis for removing all those beautiful trees from Overton park also. If I see more of this rape of beauty ... I am out of here and will not be able to talk positively of Memphis as I have for the 45 years.

They, the ones that have decided to abuse their powers, want to pave paradise and put up a parking lot in the form of large distracting businesses and apartments/condos. All of us that have lived and supported Shelby Farms for many many years must band together and fight this ridiculous proposal tooth and nail. It will Destroy the park in many ways. There is nothing positive about this.

I called and sent an email last fall to voice my concerns over this project, but was unaware of this petition until now. This area should remain zoned for single family homes. I did not buy here to be a Harbortown or NY Central Park. The traffic is already bad and can't exit at times even to Whitten and forced to cut through a back way Bent Tree /Patmore (which according to plans will be blocked off completely and traffic diverted back to Whitten, right near where there will be another entrance to the new complex on Whitten in addition to Mullins entrance.) Congested traffic will worsen, increased noise will be imminent, and more crime will follow. Also, already have too many apartment complexes next door. How can we consciously destroy the largest urban park in the country like this and the lives of so many who live around it? Say No to This! If one of the developers seems to think this will be so great, then I say to them, call me, I've got a property right here for you to live in if this goes through. Who will pay for the additional police this area will need...you know we will need mounted police just like Central Park.

This is the worst thing to hit our neighborhood. We already can't get out of our street because of traffic. Crime is only going to rise. Seriously, how many apartment complexes do we need?? So, let's recap.. More crime, horrible increase in traffic Oh and decreases in property values! Yeah, GREAT idea. Leave our neighborhood and park alone. Thanks.

Traffic by the park is already congested enough. There has already been talks about adding/expanding roads through the park. A project like this would give even more reasons to expand the roads. Help protect our park, don' build this!!!

The plan is environmentally insensitive, and does not take into consideration the goals of Shelby Farms to provide space for wildlife, birds, pollinators, and people. In addition, it disregards the aspirations of the residents adjacent to the property. It is designed apart from both the community and the park, and not as an integral part of a living landscape. Our City shows many examples of office park/apartment complexes that were short-term boons for developers who did not have a long-term stake in the overall impact of the project on the quality of life of the Community. Look at American Way and Perkins, as an example. Land is precious, and the footprint we choose is enduring. A community master plan should be discussed first, before any effort to change the bucolic signature of the area is made. The Greenline is a source of pride for Memphis, and its value for its citizens should not be underestimated or diminished.

I live in this neighborhood and am strongly opposed to this, already such a traffic problem already, not to mention the dangers to the greenlne. We like our neighborhood as it is, Do not need more apartments here, The crime rate is already very high.
