Kids are glued to screens all day, Playgrounds are colorful yet boring to play on and uninspired. Kids need to learn how to run, jump, climb, ect. Go to langley and see how amazing some of the young ones are and what they are capable of. Out of all the parks in BC langley is BY FAR the best, please get those from SturdyMade who made that park to make all future parks. And please dont pull a "vancouver" and cheap out on it just to say you have it. Build the best one you can, build the best on the Earth, be number 1.

You nailed it! I don't train outside much for the reasons you mention--and this is meant for outdoors! I always feel like I'm imposing on people's space. Thanks Cyrus.

Both of my adult sons practice Parkour and it's added so much to their lives and good health.
Please dedicate an outdoor area for this activity. Having people outside doing this sort of stuff keeps our city safer and more beautiful.

Vancouver has a growing Parkour community that struggles to find spaces to train without coming into conflict with public or private property managers. Having dedicated places to train removes the risk of conflict, encourages exercise and fitness, and can provide a safer environment for practitioners to train. Even better, parkour-friendly structures are extremely cheap to build and can easily accomodate people of all ages and ability levels.

Parkour develops movement literacy in its most basic forms. These types of spaces will make a healthy, happy, and capable society.

Parkour needs a place to grow in vancouver, especially a free sport with solid coaching.

Thanks! And I agree about the round logs. They can be fun on summer days but in limited capacity. Good for running along but not great for precisions.
