Introduce Parking Permits in Hollingdean Terrace, Roedale, Dudley and upper Hollingdean Roads,

I live in hollingdean terrace need to park my one car near my house husband can not walk far . But student white van man dust cart man parking make life hard for anyone also people from other places park there car and get the bus to work plus van are parked at night and in the morning they gave the van to work and park there car in the place

Parking here is unreal! Especially when parking a car bigger than a corsa. I own a van!

There is a definite parking problem in the area. Would only support though if the parking restrictions (permit) covered Stanmer villas, Hollingdean terrace, Hertford road, Hollingbury crescent and the dip too. Otherwise we are just displacing the problem

We want parking permits. Council workers from the lorry depot are looking for parking from 6am. Can’t find a space after 5pm

I fully support a consultation on this and agree that the situation is getting worse and needs addressing.

Sadly, the time has come for a residents parking scheme but for all of Hollingdean, not just a few streets. I live in Stanmer Villas which has a similar problems after 4pm since the Fiveways restrictions came in especially with trade vehicles and camper vans.

I would support restricted parking, but feel CAUTION and CONSIDERATION be given to the impact it would have on Hollingbury Place and Hertford Road. At the moment we sometimes have difficulty parking when using the G.P's practice, Harper's pharmacy, let alone the other shops that are in the Dip. We're in a restricted zone G, and on the whole parking's much better, apart from not having any parking meters for visitors, we have to buy visitor parking permits. We'd rather a metre for visitors. Perhaps a 50/50 approach be considered, NOT "Light Touch" as in Baxter Street which I feel penalises residents.

We have lived on Hollingdean Terrace for 2.5 years. In that time the parking has got noticeably worse. Certainly, with the implementation of permits in fiveways. The amount of campervans and trades vans has increased with some bring left there for months. Bearded Brothers are a new one that has popped up recently.... I have two children under 3.5 and it's getting harder to park roughly close to my house. Would fully support parking restrictions.

Parking has become very difficult in my road. Restricting it to non-residents would improve the situation.

My experience a few yrs back when parking permits were introduced in Springfield Rd was that things got MUCH better. Downside is £3.50 per day tokens for visitor parking. But on the whole it was a vast improvement!!

Davey drive and Horton Road have become Brightons free carpark it has become a major problem. We get camper vans parked up for over 9 months we have cars that don't move for months on end. We also have the usual binmen, builders and bus drivers parking all day.the binmen don't even drive down the closes due to cars parked on the corners, and all the verges have been destroyed by people parking and driving on them. Myself and other neighbours spoke to the local Councillor at her surgery and she had no answer for the issues. with the introduction soon of permits for bear Road, coomb terrace and Saunders Park and 250 students moving into the area we need some form of parking restrictions that are enforced.

Horton Road

I live on Dudley road and I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the parking. This road historically was a quiet family road. It is now a road where children cannot play outside in the street due to the speed of cars travelling in Dudley road. There are an increasing amount of people who are becoming aggressive, with several bumps on my husbands work van and also mine. Council workers are still saving spaces for colleagues and we have a regular amount of other vans left parked with residents from other areas getting their bikes out and cycling off for weeks on end . I really do not want permits but cannot see another way to be able to park near where I live.
