This is a great idea and would not only benefit the council as they would be getting paid for an empty piece of land that no one uses but it would also help the local residents with the parking problem.

I live less that a minutes walk away from gi gi's restaurant on eskbank road the plot of land that they require for parking is purest.

as I am a driver I feel that this would benefit Gigi's and there customers rather than parking on the main road. Frequent visitor to Gigi , so this would make it so much easier!!

I think that the council should be doing all they can to help a small local business who is doing extremely well to compete with some of the bigger name restaurants out there. This would be a step in that direction as it is quite difficult to try and get parked anywhere near the restaurant and no doubt deterring some of their potential guests from dining with them!
