Definitely this space should be used for parking and i'm not just supporting GiGi its the residents as very annoying for us who live here having people come to the restaurant in cars and park in our streets limiting spaces for those who already live there. This space is just a waste doesn't even look nice as not kept up to a decent standard by the council. So i think they should sell to GiGi's.

personally dont see a problem gigis landscaping it paying the council for the land and looking after it that peice of landscaping cost a small fortune and it looks shabby preferred it with the wall and the grass and flower beds and the bus shelter etc times change and so did that area once and again it needs a change to help ease the parking the councils virtually sold or is selling anything it can folks are actually been parking on it already do the right thing and help a thriving local buisness who have served bonnyrigg for at least three generations i gigis wasnt there am sure it would run down empty or struggling shops i am in favour of gigis proposal
Makes complete sense to have a car park and avoid the congestion on the road

i would love to know how they can call it green space when it is mostly paved. If you were to have a padlock on the barrier which was available to customers on entry that would mean it could not be abused at all. see sense midlothian, at least that space would be serving a purpose and not just lying derelict

Personally think it's a great idea and good that GiGis have recognised that parking has become an issue through no fault of theirs. Good to see they are being proactive and trying to resolve the issue.

It would help clear the street of parked cars and allow residents access to their homes.

Thi has been a long time coming as far as I'm concerned. There have been many accidents and near misses since Gigi opened. The council should appreciate what they are now trying to achieve if no for the wasted bit of space but the public safety.

With both sides of the street near the restaurant having cars abandoned, not parked,a serious bottleneck is created so a purpose built car park is most definitely required!!!

A car park is definitely needed, main road too busy.
