I have read the proposals.

The community could better use this land to serve the tax payers and provide fields for our children use instead of allowing a developer to get rich.

Mystic is unique and any development should be centered on maintaining our wonderful community. This project is much too big and will, forever, change the character of the town. We can do much better than this.

The proposed development is too large. There were other proposals that were a better fit for this area.

At the very least, an environmental impact study and public comment period should occur. Why hasn't this happened?

We don’t have enough walking spaces around here without running into people so having this as a park would be awesome!!! When I walk around here I feel like I’m in a zoo it’s so close quarters. So I support this piece of property being created as open space for all of us to enjoy.

Absolutely NOT! Groton is already in desperate need of additional recreational field space and has a commission to address the issue. That field is large enough for two full size multipurpose fields and could be easily renovated for community ran organizations to use. Our kids are CURRENTLY being told NO to recreational field use due to the lack of space. It's ridiculous to use THIS space for privately owned high end apartments. Turn it into a park!

Opposed to development of the property as proposed. Too large a scale with no preservation of any open non forested area. Not sure Mystic needs this.

Too BIG

Town needs to keep the scale of the project down to at least the size in the original RFP. If this developer cannot do it, what about other groups who submitted proposals? I think we can do better —- a lot better.

I am concerned about more traffic. What is the community benefit?

The size of this project will create a traffic nightmare.

A pool in town would be a good thing!

Don't need the traffic issues. Open space, once lost, is lost forever. Open space should be highly valued and protected. Traffic and oped space are both Quality of life factors.

Per the State of CT, the average # of cars passing the side of my house on Rte 1, just above downtown Mystic, is 6600 per day. Why does adding 2000 more cars with this project sound like an abysmal idea? In addition, I calculated that with an average of 30 minutes per hour of cars idling for the bridge in summer (I've been eyewitness to this), immobile or crawling cars dominate my landscape for about 6 hours per day! Should a resident have to put up with this? Mystic is trammeled by traffic, but the developers will never stop. When the Oral School residents (God forbid) want to mosey down to Mystic in their cars, they will most likely drive straight down High Street to Rte 1, a nightmare for High Street. No matter which way they go, they will take a route that is already maxed out. The Oral School property should be like the Peace Sanctuary, untouched and accessible for people to appreciate what little woods and vistas remain in the public domain. The Town of Groton functionaries seem indifferent to the pleas of residents to stop rampant development in Mystic. Do they think they sit on Mount Olympus? We want our say.

I would love to see a park like Wilcox park in the area. This is something we are sorely missing, not more luxury apartments.

Don't need this here.

This is a bad idea. This area does not need more housing of this caliber and so close together. A park is much more in keeping with Mystic's commerce and tourist industry.
