Parents/taxpayers against mask mandate in the Beaver Dam School District

It's a personal choice.

I believe that masks should be able to be a personal choice. It doesn't make sense how the school board has handled this. We are required to mask our kids on Sept. 1, but not for orientation, meet and greets, registration, or high school picture day.

Masking children is child abuse. Homeschool whenever possible

Masks should not be forced by the schools if parents feel the kids don’t have to wear them or feel that it is safe enough for them to go without

My body, my choice!

For my youngest daughters still in school. Especially my youngest that suffers from anxiety! When she has an attack, she feels she can’t breathe with her mask on, has to take it off and is told to sit out in the hallway to take a break and wait until someone comes to help her. Sometimes she ends up walking to a teacher she is comfortable with or goes to the nurse. I have informed her now to always go right to the nurse and call me.

No mask should be required in our schools

If I want my children to wear a mask or am afraid they will catch the virus, then I’d either have them wear a mask or virtual school. But it should be our choice as parents with our children.
