There are more questions than answers behind the decision made by the District 428 School Board to fire Ms. Spears. Parents, Taxpayer and the community at large deserves answers to those questions. Please make sure that Shahran Spears is made aware of the financial assistance she can get through the AAUW (American Association of University Women) who can provide funds for cases (payment to her attorney). Go online an look up this information.

As a former employee of the district, I guess this doesn't surprise me, but it sure does bother me. Good thing we know who wins in the end! (If you are unfamiliar with the Bible, God wins in the end with the return of Christ.) I would like to know what the reason was for letting her go. The purchase of these inspirational booklets doesn't call for removal. It's sad when the district keeps so many awful teachers and administrators and removes one that actually cares about the children and staff she has under her.
