It is time for management to put the students first. TY is often considered to be a "doss" year and parents question whether to do. The biggrst reason is the social development of these young adults and the building of a social network that continues into their university years. This must happen

Every school should be co ed.Nothing normal about segregation of pupils only creates problems. Disgraceful , Westport best place to live does not offer a co ed secondary school for our youth.

Please reconsider the decision to run TY separately this year. There are a lot of very disappointed students from both schools and as many have said already the musical has been the highlight of TY for 100's students over the years. Taking this from them seems very harsh.

Both schools should be partaking in a joint musical as this is the biggest part of their year.

Please reinstate connections between the two schools for subject choices very important that girls can do woodwork and boys do home economics . Plus tys students can do musical together . Very important for personal development and social development. Please reinstate connections so our kids don’t miss out on their development and choices in life. Please give them opportunities we may never have had .

I think splitting the girls and boys this year is a very negative move. To improve mental health after the covid separation, they should be given the chance to mix and work together.

The interaction that that TY musical brings to these kids in the SHS and Rice college give them an invaluable experience to reconnect with old school friends and make new ones is an essential part of their development and education . Removing this experience from them is unfair and makes no sense . Please reconsider this unwise decision .
Thank you
