At the very minimum, the principal position should go to someone with homeschooling knowledge.
There is a lack of ethics in your actions and if I’m wrong about that, I’d like the board to explain themselves.

This is causing so much frustration, anxiety and stress during an already difficult time. Most of us families and students were never even given a choice of which school to belong to because we enrolled at Inspire not any of the other schools under the umbrella. I pray that you do the right and moral choice and keep Cottonwood with the sister schools, fund the students and enroll the siblings. Don't make any changes this school year with all that families, students, and teachers are already dealing with! Give families time to be part of the process and choices.

Do not split from the other school. Honor the MOU or we will lose our HST which is why we came to Inspire in the first place. If you continue on this course as soon as AB 95 is lifted, I’m out. My guess is many families are in the same boat. So your school May have funding this year but how about next?

Timing of this is causing untold distress for students, families and staff.Completely unnecessary and frankly unconscionable during a time when many families are struggling financially and emotionally. Keep Cottonwood with it’s sister schools and all families with their HSTs. Split will cause irreparable harm to the very school you purport to wish to serve.

I am a cottonwood parent of 3 students, hopefully becoming 4 students this year. We need appropriate representation on the board. The majority of board members should have homeschooling experience, as the majority of students are home based. The site based school should be closed at this time that we are searching for funding to accommodate new students, especially siblings of currently enrolled students. What’s worse than the high rent is the fact that the Cottonwood site based School building will not be able to be used this year due to Covid circumstances. It is a huge unnecessary drain on funds.

Immediate resignation of Dr. Lorenz for misappropriation of funds. We want an executive director hired that has extensive knowledge of homeschooling. Keep the 5 north schools together! We do not want Cottonwood to separate from the other North Schools.

I do not want Cottonwood to separate from the other schools. This should absolutely not take place in the middle of the summer with NO opportunity for families to be informed of any plans in place or changes that will affect their children. I have a child in Special Education who has PTSD and changes to staff would cause significant disruption and TRAUMA when we have finally gotten him to open up and feel comfortable with his therapists and teaching staff. I am completely opposed to having a Principal/Director in place that has little if any homeschool knowledge. Our Director/principal was fantastic and every effort should have been made to keep her. If that was unavoidable, someone with extensive homeschool knowledge should be vetted to take her place. We as families chose Inspire Charter Schools North specifically for the reasons that appear to be slated to be stripped from us at this time and it is appalling that this is taking place over the summer with no apparent need to do such a thing. With all due respect, please HALT this process immediately and let the families be part of decisions moving forward while providing actual concrete plans for what will be put in place before doing anything and giving families ample opportunity to choose whether or not to remain with Inspire or the time to take action and leave if we and our children are to be completely left out of the process which by the way is the reason we chose this school, it’s support of family choice and decisions in their children’s education! If anything needs to be changed it should be the excessive amount of money being dumped into a site based high school (that while was a great idea in my opinion was a failure) that only had 9 students in attendance which makes absolutely no sense fiscally. I hope to hear accountability for these poor choices on Tuesday and that the proposed action to separate Cottonwood and place a Interim Director that is inexperienced regarding homeschooling be STOPPED as it

Such poor timing when there’s already so much stress and strife in life given the pandemic, that students and parents have to deal with essentially being potentially forced to leave Inspire, which is the school we all signed up to be a part of.

I enrolled in Cottonwood School via Inspire, and if the school chooses to part with Inspire management we would be significantly effected! This is not the time for a dramatic change. Our kids have suffered through enough this year. Funding and management need to remain
