I have heard that the staff of Cottonwood have all received wage increases this year as well. The school has not answered my emails about this. Yet, all of the parents are being told that we need to be "frugal" and simply accept that our rollover funds from last year have disappeared and our funding for our kid's educational needs have been drastically cut. We need answers.

I 100% agree with this petition. I signed my kids up for Inspire and that is where I want to stay. My special education student has finally found teachers that understand his needs and is thriveing and now that stability is being threatened. We don't want an on-site school, if we did our kids would be enrolled in public school. Stop using our childrens funds to support your own agendas. Our kids funds belong and she be used on our students. We want homeschooling values back. We want people that have our back. This will not stand.

My husband and I have 2 children enrolled with The Cottonwood School.
We have a great relationship with our HSt. We want to stay with our current teacher. The 2020-2021 school year is a few weeks away. Do not split from Inspire.

It is clear that the vast majority of families of Cottonwood Charter School want to find a way to adress concerns, and yet stay with the same homeschool teachers and staff we have come to love and depend upon who have employment contracts with other schools in the North, such as Feather River. Please, board, find a way to make this happen.

PLEASE KEEP THINGS THE SAME UNTIL AT LEAST NEXT YEAR AFTER THE PANDEMIC CALMS DOWN AND PARENTS HAVE HAD A CHANCE TO MAKE A SCHOOL CHANGE SMOOTHLY. PLEASE DON'T BE SO SELFISH. THERE ARE ALSO SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENTS WHO WOULD BE IMPACTED GREATLY TOO. PLEASE RECONSIDER. GIVE US A YEAR'S NOTICE. With all the struggles going on right now for charter school homeschoolers We need someone representing and defending US! The funds need to go to us and the education of our children and not some dinky Montessori school. I feel like I’m taking crAzy pills! I shouldn’t even have to say this. But here’s what I want. For my son who is coming into kindergarten to get funds to learn. For he and my 2nd grader to have the same HST. We love her and have never felt more supported and encouraged. I don’t know what I would do without her or our charter school family.

With very little notice, and lack of transparency regarding the reasoning for these moves, I find it rather disturbing that the board would take any action prior to FCMAT issuing their findings. Making these moves prior to the FCMAT report gives an impression of secrecy and ulterior motives. If the boards knows something regarding these findings vs the allegations that they shared, they should make that an board agenda item and have a full public discourse while providing the correspondence that the board has with FCMAT.

Please remove those overspending and do not separate us from the other charters. We have been promised from the beginning of the separate charters forming that we would not experience changes. We have also been promised since the principal and executive board member left that we would not experience changes. Please keep your word to us on this. During a time that the world is already in chaos, please keep your word and do not add school to the many disruptions in our families. This is not a time to lose the HST my children have depended on and need for their education.
