We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the Lakewood City School Board expeditiously engage the Great Lakes athletic conference in talks about joining their league. We believe that a review of the situation will review that retaining our current affiliation, the Southwest conference, is not in the best interest of our students, parents, fans and community.

Sports can teach our children lessons that compliment what they learn in the classroom. Let's level the field of competition to make those lessons a better experience for all.

As a follower of Lakewood sports for a few years now, I wholeheartedly agree a change like this would be good.
