From our experience, Bryan is an effective, respectful and dedicated coach. More importantly is the utter lack of due process. This knee-jerk response by the CYBS is concerning. There needs to be more transparency and frankly, more spine.

We do not know Coach Ross well but have always heard positive things. Above all, every person should have the opportunity to give their side of the story. Banning someone without a full investigation is not right and we do not support the league's actions in this case because of that. This type of decision can be damaging to a person's mental health, family and reputation and Bryan Ross should have the chance to speak up for himself.

I have had 3 children play within the Cleveland youth baseball/softball program. The last of my 3 has played softball for Bryan for the last 2 seasons. I credit his knowledge, coaching style, above and beyond effort, and overall good character, as contributing factors to her wanting to continue playing softball, when she showed very little interest at the beginning! I applaud his patience and dedication to all of his players (regardless of skill level) It is very evident that he possesses an above average IQ for the games of baseball/softball, and those of us lucky enough to have him coach our kids are grateful. I hope the Board reconsiders his ban, and Bryan is given the opportunity to positively impact kids in this area for years to come. He is definitely one of the “good ones.”

Bryan Ross coached my son in baseball. I appreciate his commitment to coaching and feel he has a positive impact on the kids he coaches.

The action the league has taken against Bryan Ross is extremely disappointing. Our son has had nothing but positive interactions with him and in fact, we actively sought for him to be able to play for a team he coached, as he always supported and encouraged him even when he was not on Bryan's team. He offered helpful coaching advice when others didn't, as he could see our son's passion for baseball and wanted to nurture it. Bryan is exactly the type of parent and coach that we should all be so fortunate to have involved in youth sports. This action sends a horrible message to any other parent in the community who is willing to step up to guide our youth with CYBS that they cannot trust the actions of the Board and stand to be publicly banished from their community with no investigation.

This makes no sense that there was no investigation. Bryan is great and I feel bad for all the kids that would lose out on the opportunity to be coached by him.

I've always appreciated Bryan's dedication to coaching + development of young baseball/softball players. His passion for the game is obvious. He deserved the opportunity to respond to to any accusations against him.

I am appalled that the president of the board has made this decision. Bryan is one of the best coaches in this league and has been a stand out role-model for our kids. There is a reason Cleveland baseball is so far behind other leagues, it’s due to weak leadership.

The handling of this situation is extremely concerning and, honestly, embarrassing. It needs to be corrected immediately.

I don't know Bryan, don't know the situation, don't know the circumstances. Still, I believe that whoever is accused of anything deemed inappropriate should be given the chance to explain those actions.

Wrong or right, it is the board who gets (and the reason one exists) to investigate and deliberate, not solely up to the President.

Bryan is an amazing coach and our family fully supports him. In the many years he coached our son, he showed nothing but true concern and care for his players.

Bryan is an amazing baseball coach and role model for the kids. My son played on Bryan's team for 3-4 years in both spring and summer seasons a couple of those years. My daughter was also on his team for summer ball one season. My kids and all the kids that played for Bryan loved him. It's obvious that other parents respected Bryan and what he does for Cleveland baseball and the kids. Bryan would often have optional Saturday practices and invite kids from other teams to come and play with his team. During games he would encourage the kids on opposing teams. I attended almost every practice and game when my kids played for him and never saw anything other than a great attitude, knowledge for the game and a way to reach kids in an encouraging and positive manner. Losing Bryan as a couch is a HUGE loss to the game of baseball and the Cleveland youth. The way he was banned from coaching is an embarrassment to Cleveland youth baseball and should be addressed separately. If this happened in a workplace there would be huge repercussions for not even hearing both sides of the story.

Bryan has coached our daughter for two years and interacted with our other children on many occasions. I have never witnessed a hint of anything inappropriate or aggressive in his behavior. On the contrary -- the children on his teams thrive and enjoy having him as a coach. His knowledge of the game and dedication to coaching young kids is a valuable asset that should not be lost in our community.

Bryan is a great coach and teacher of young children. Under Bryan, I watched every second the two were together and not once saw any inappropriate behavior in 3 seasons.
