Stop masking children!

There is absolutely no scientific evidence that would suggest children wearing masks all day is beneficial. It is exactly the opposite. Children need to see each other smile, build their own immune systems, and feel free to learn without the weight on their shoulders and fear associated with masks. Let them breathe!

Leave mask choice to parents

There is no benefit for masks. The virus can go through the masks. Children need to see expressions on teachers faces and their friends. It is a parents choice if they want their children to wear a mask. We are a free country and we adults can make the decision for our children. Keep government out!! There are treatments out there for the virus and children have a 99.9%chance of survival. It is time to stop trying to scare people. You are doing more mental damage to the children then the virus. Stop being sheep. Do your research!

There is NOT one bit of proof (peer reviewed studies) that show masks are effective at preventing spreading of virus.

Please leave the choice of mask wearing to the parents.

We owe it to our kids to ensure a minimal quality of life at home and at school - I'm happy to commit to keeping them home if there is any risk of being infected, but if they are perfectly healthy, let them play and participate in school freely.

I want the parents to have the right to choose whether or not they want to mask their kids in school.

I am an ICU nurse and I have been wearing a mask since the start of the pandemic. After my long shifts, I feel more tired, and I have developed sinus issues likely related to wearing a mask for long periods of time. Other work colleagues have reported developing sore throats after their shifts. I believe masking should be a choice, and the risk/benefits should be determined by parents based on their child’s needs. Thank you.

All due respect to those deciding over this. As a parent. I’m tired of the fear, I want my kid to make friends, I want us to face the virus instead of continue to run to illusions of safety. I’m done with all of it. Especially the false senses of security. I’m sure the board will make the right decision as it originally did with choice over fear. At this point if people are going to be pulling their kids out of school. Let it be the hypochondriacs of our community who are just going to freak out on you for every sniffle their child comes home with and cries the loudest no matter what you do. It will never be enough for those people. Ever! Let the more reasonable people come together.

Mask choice! Want to wear one, then do. I respect that. But I also needed to be respected for not wearing one.
