My name is Gene Green and I trying to gain decent employment however I made the mistake of waving my rights and pleding guilty to a felony when I was but a child. I have a four year degree but I cannot obtain decent employment because the state of Louisiana will not let me forget the fact that I pled guilty to a felony. I went before the pardon board before and it seemed to me that it was a joke to them, that I applied for a pardon and did not hire an attorney to represent me. It is my belief that if you want a pardon in this state you need an attorney to represent you and you need some money to passed under the table. If you have these then your chances increase greatly. I vowed that I would never beg the state pardon. But I've came to the conclusion that if I ever want to gain decent employment to must obtain a full pardon from the governors office.
