This young man is not the average criminal but was a college student who should've been protected by those insured with his safety. Bullying is an epidemic that needs to be addressed where young man like him do not fear for their life and have to act out to protect themselves. This young man had a system fail him when in all rights they should have been taking care of him and addressing the problem when it was brought to the forefront. Doing so could have avoided the chain of events that occurred. This is not a young man that did not cry out for help and protection nor is he a criminal. Not all cases are black-and-white but there are gray and this case needs to be looked at and this young man allowed to go home to put all of the bad things behind him.

I've known Jamie since he was 11. He was raised by a good caring mother who kept close tabs on her boys. He excelled in school and was a great athlete. He was taught right from wrong. He is not a thug. I do believe there is more to this story than we heard.
