When officer are not present you feel the pressure and requirements. When a police officer come to alleviate issues and replaces the Security Officer, if the frequency increases then problem arises. If police officers were awarded compensation for the COVID- then Security Automatically Should as well.

Carney Security have always been there for the staff, the patients, and families. As a COVID-19 Hospital, the Security Team should certainly be entitled to the pay. Steward, for once, do the right thing!

This is unconscionable. Security, especially in the ED and at Carney, is vital for that department to operate. I can not count the number of times they de-escalate situations to where the providers don’t have to get involved. Thereby avoiding a potentially dangerous situation for staff and patients and freeing up providers to focus on sick patients.
